Things to do around Freshwater Beach Holiday Park this weekend…..

If you are staying down at Freshwater this Bank Holiday, there are lots of events and activities to suit all tastes.

If you fancy a little Jazz and Blues this weekend, then the Lyme Regis Jazz and Blues Festival is taking place from 27th – 30th May. The tickets are sold out for some events, so you will need book advanced tickets so you don’t miss out! Tickets are still available for King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys (Sat), CSUN Big Band (Sun) and Laurence Jones (Sun) and Jazz Brunch with Matt Carter Trio (Mon).

If you are entertaining the children this half term, then the Keep Military Museum in Dorchester, has a special offer and kids go free all week from 28th May to 4th June. There are free trails for children as well as other activities including the Trench Experience and the view from the roof.

The Bridport Vintage Market returns on 29th May, 10am-4pm and offers a vast array of antique and vintage shops, artist studios and eclectic traders. You will find the market taking place within the historic art and antiques quarter at St Michael’s Trading Estate. Whether you are looking for a special piece or would like to soak up the atmosphere with a coffee, it promises to be a great day out.

For all of the dog lovers out there, you are invited to the Melplash Showground to experience and take part in the Companion Dog Show and Family Day on 29th May. You can watch the dog agility display by the Portland Dog Agility Team as well as a Police Dog Display. You can enter your own dog into various fun classes and enjoy the trade stands and charity stalls. All raising money for good causes.

For all the wanna be Pirates out there, why not bring the family to the West Bay Pirates Day…We can’t promise you Jack Sparrow but we can promise fun activities for all of the family with games, music and prizes!
